About this module
This education module aims to consolidate current clinical guidance and program policy for breast, bowel and cervical cancer screening into one accessible online course. It aims to support general practitioners, practice nurses and other interested healthcare practitioners, to endorse cancer screening to their patients and follow current screening clinical guidelines.This educational activity supports clinicians to discuss and promote participation in bowel, breast and cervical cancer screening among eligible patients, including groups that are currently underscreened.This course will take approximately 7 hours to complete.

Learning outcomes
At the completion of this module, you will
1. Outline the importance of GP and nurse endorsement in influencing patients’ decisions to participate in cancer screening programs.
2. Apply culturally safe practice and provide equitable access for underscreened population groups.
3. Provide high-quality patient education about cancer risk factors and screening, and appropriate referral to screening and assessment services
4. Implement quality improvements to practice systems to identify underscreened patients.
5. Identify opportunities for quality improvement informed by practice data to improve participation in cancer screening.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
This module is CPD approved for 5.5 hours Educational Activity hours and 1.5 hours Reviewing Performance  with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and CPD accredited with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM). It is CPD endorsed by the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners (ACNP).
Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate that includes the number of CPD hours awarded. If you are a RACGP or ACRRM member and your membership number is associated with your user account, you will be accredited with these CPD hours.
How and when will my CPD hours be allocated?
If you have completed the entire program, CPD hours and a Certificate of Completion will be provided by ACPCC within 3-4 weeks. If you complete the program before the end of December, your CPD hours will be attributed to that calendar year.
